THE CRACK ADVENTURES OF THANKSGIVING WEEK.

Waking up to the smell of fresh baked rolls, I got off the couch. Thanksgiving morning was upon me. The day started off as normal as could be. I had woke up late that morning, so I needed to prepare quickly. Hannah enjoys taking time in the shower, so I was stuck with a wait. A long one. During that, The family arrived with the cousins, uncles, aunts and all that. Then, it happened. Hannah, walking out of the shower, open the door, revealing to me a horrid happening. Water went all about the floor, a quarter inch deep. Instincively, I freaked out at Hannah, then helped Grandpa clean it up. I got my shower. Soon after, we discovered that the water was no fault of Hannah's. The entire system was backing up. Dad, Uncle Jesse, and Grandpa went straight to getting the mess clean. After many hours, we decided we would need a pipe snake. Commercial duty, to be exact. We got the snake from a friend of Dad's, and went to work. The day went out with no progress.

The next day, Dad and I got up, got on the roof, and went to work on the pipe vents. We ran the snake from eleven to three, with no results. Then, Grandpa's sister, as well has her family arrived. Great Uncle Daniel saw our plight, and offered a suggestion. He took Grandpa out back to dig up the sewer pipe, and clear the block from there. The pipe exposed, and a pressure wash prepared, we shot that sucker through the pipe. That loosened and brought forth the culprit: a near full roll of toilet paper. This had baby cousin written all over it, as was the consensus. The day ended with a trip into town. We sauntered about the mall, left for Hastings, the favored multimedia store, and after a while there, we went home. The trip would have been nice, had I had a cent to spend.
